O Lord, You are my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
I lift my eyes to You this morning,
for my help comes from You alone.
When my heart is restless, You quiet me.
When my strength is small, You remain mighty.
You know my rising and my resting;
no burden I carry is hidden from You.
Though I walk through uncertainty,
I will not fear,
for Your mercy surrounds me like a shield.
Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light upon my path.
Teach me to wait without losing hope,
to trust without seeing,
and to praise You before the answer arrives.
Surely Your goodness and steadfast love
are near to me today.
You will not abandon the work of Your hands.
I will rest in You, O Lord,
for You are faithful,
